Sunday thoughts...

Valentine's Dinner 2008
This weekend was super fun! Jon and I celebrated Valentine's Day on Friday night and had a lovely time together. Every year that goes by, we always find new things to love about each other...this year I shared with Jon just how much I love him because of the grace he shows me daily. There are some days that I don't physically feel well and he is always right there to support me and serve me. There are some days when I don't want to cook and we order Chili's. And he even cleans the ceiling fans and toilet b/c those are my two least favorite things to clean in our home...that's alot of grace!!! :) I sure am greatful for my gracious husband.

Saturday was relaxing...Tia Tata (Jon's second aunt) was visiting from Vancouver and we had a luncheon with Jon's family! It was fun to hang out together and of course to see our beautiful nieces too! They grow up so fast! When we got home, Jon studied for his sermon for Sunday service, I did a little shopping and we hung out at home all night! I love being at home these days! Today I had so much fun in the Clubhouse at church! Our 1st thru 5th graders are super cool and today the kids learned how they can be God's reflection of love to those around them! I headed to lunch with my Mom afterwards. We ate at the Lime Fresh Mexican Grill at the new Shops at Pembroke Gardens. The food was (in our opinion) average...the Fajita Burrito has way to many green peppers...but overall it was good and we had fun eating together. We headed to Homegoods afterwards to shop for some St. Patrick's and Easter decor for our homes. Mom got the prettiest St. Patricks Day table runner and unfortunatley I didn't find what I was looking for (pale speckled Easter eggs)...came home and napped for about 3 hours (love that!!!) and am enjoying the evening with my two boys...my hubby and my beagle!

No real point to this blog...just a quick little update on the Elswick family :) Hope everyone has a fun President's Day off!

Ciao for now,
Melissa *E
