A great scripture to memorize!

So, Jon and I are watching the presidental debate again tonight... and seeing that I am getting bored with it, I thought I would post some random thoughts...enjoy!

My Mom and I have been reading and thinking about this verse recently and are memorizing it so that it is deep in our hearts and minds...take a read at it and try to memorize it yourself! One of the great benefits to memorizing scripture is that the Lord will bring it to memory in the exact moment you need it! Awesomeness!

Hebrews 4 (ESV)
14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Jon and I are also learning Spanish!! Being the cubano that he is, he is taking tutoring lessons from his abuela (spanish for "grandma", said in the twangiest voice I have - hehe) every Wednesday night before worship team practice. He is doing so great and I am reaping the benefits from his tutoring sessions by quizzing him and making flashcards for him! Yo hablo espanol un pocito!!!

Finally, a friend emailed me about a blog she has been reading recently. We have been glued to this blog titled "Confession of a CF Husband"!! We check the blog daily (sometimes more than daily - at red lights, when we get to work and before we go to bed) and are so moved by this story of a young Worship Leader who is serving his wife who is battling Cystic Fibrosis and also serving his preemie-daughter Gwenyth! Check out their story, pray for Nate, Tricia, and baby Gwenyth...and be inspired!! Warning: you will be hooked!! :) Jon being a Worship Leader and myself having Diabetes - Nate's trust in God's Sovereignty and passion to serve his wife and help others inspires and encourages us! Laundry is done...time to fold...hasta manana familia y amigas!

Ciao,
